Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your use of vispr, the mobile application and related services (the "Platform") operated by Tangaroo Private Limited ("vispr", "we", "us", "our"). Please read them carefully before creating an account.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using vispr, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to use vispr. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this requirement. Accounts found to belong to a person under 18 will be suspended or removed without notice.

3. Description of the service

vispr is a voice-calling platform that connects two types of users:

  • Callers, who use coins to start and continue live voice calls with available hosts; and
  • Hosts, who make themselves available to receive calls and earn a share of the coins spent on those calls.

Calls are matched based on the language the user selects. vispr does not guarantee that a host will always be available, that a call will always connect successfully, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

4. Accounts & verification

Accounts are created and verified using your mobile phone number via one-time password (OTP) authentication. You are responsible for keeping your account and the device it's signed into secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Hosts go through an additional application and approval process, which may include submitting a short voice-intro recording to confirm the applicant's voice and language ability. vispr may approve, reject, or later suspend host status at its discretion.

5. Callers & hosts

Anyone who meets vispr's eligibility and verification requirements may apply to become a host. Host applications are reviewed against vispr's own criteria, which may consider factors such as language fluency, voice clarity, and platform capacity at the time of application, and vispr is not obligated to approve every applicant.

Host earnings are calculated as a share of the coins spent on each call, shown to hosts as an earnings balance inside the app. Payout schedules, minimum payout thresholds, and payout methods are handled separately from these Terms and may be updated by vispr from time to time; current details are available inside the app for approved hosts.

6. Coins & payments

Coins are a virtual, in-app currency used to pay for calls on a per-minute basis. Coins:

  • can only be purchased through the payment methods offered inside the app, processed by our third-party payment partner;
  • have no cash value outside the Platform and cannot be sold, transferred, or redeemed for cash by callers;
  • are credited to your wallet immediately upon a successful purchase; and
  • are, once credited, non-refundable — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the limited exceptions (such as a failed or duplicate transaction).

vispr may offer discounted packages, first-purchase offers, or promotional coin bonuses at its discretion, and may modify or discontinue any such offer at any time.

7. Acceptable use

When using vispr, you agree that you will not:

  • harass, threaten, abuse, or use hate speech against another user;
  • create, share, or solicit sexual content involving minors, or otherwise endanger a minor;
  • send spam, run scams, or attempt to defraud another user or vispr;
  • impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation;
  • ask another user for money, gifts, or personal financial information, or attempt to move a conversation or payment to a platform outside vispr;
  • use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates any applicable law.

Violating this section can lead to your account being suspended or permanently removed, with or without prior notice, at vispr's discretion.

8. Reporting & blocking

You can report or block another user directly from the call screen inside the app. A blocked user will never be matched with you again. Reports are reviewed by vispr, and we may take action including warnings, suspension, or permanent removal of the reported account, based on our own investigation.

9. Calls & recordings

vispr does not record or store the audio content of calls between callers and hosts. A host's voice-intro recording, submitted during the host application process, is used only for vispr's internal review to confirm the applicant's voice and language — it is never played to callers or shared outside that review process.

10. Intellectual property

The vispr name, logo, app design, and all related branding are the property of Tangaroo Private Limited. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Platform or its branding without our prior written permission.

11. Third-party services

vispr relies on trusted third-party providers to operate the Platform, including a real-time voice infrastructure provider for calls, an authentication and notifications provider, and a payment gateway for processing purchases. Your use of the Platform is also subject to the applicable terms of these providers where relevant. See our Privacy Policy for more on how data is shared with them.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

vispr is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We don't guarantee that a host will always be available, that calls will always connect, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the Platform.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tangaroo Private Limited and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform, including loss of coins arising from a dropped call caused by factors outside our reasonable control.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tangaroo Private Limited from any claim, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Platform.

15. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to vispr at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for a violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or a legal or regulatory requirement. You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion at any time from within the app or by contacting us.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the Platform changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use vispr after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
